The rotor comes right off if you pull it striaght off after removing the caliper. The caliper is held in by two 10mm bolts on the inner side of the caliper. When you remove the caliper, be sure you have a hanger or something to hang the caliper on. DO NOT let it hang by the hose. The rotor is held in place by the clamping between the wheel and the hub. If these are the original rotors and they have never been turned, there may be a small thin clip that looks like a toothed washer. Just pry it off and remove it then pull the rotor. If the rotor is still stuck, use a rubber mallet to knock it loose from behind. Rotors for this vehicle are pretty cheap running $20-35 new at places like AutoZone or Checker. Good luck!
I assume you're talking about the wheel brake cylinders. There is one on each wheel. The two in front clamp the brake disks. The two in back are inside the back drums.
Dude your front brake disks are probably warped or cracked, you'll probably need to fully replace them
Are you asking about brake discs?A re't they slip off rotors? remove the front tires then the calipers then slip off the rotors.
Brake pads have a wear indicator to let you know when they need replacing. The screeching means you need to replace the brake pads, and the sooner the better to avoid damaging your rotors (the shiny disks that the brake pads rub against to slow your car down).
The Sintra has rear brake pads and disks. Inside the disks brakes are shoes for the hand brake. So yes, is does have rear shoes, but only for the handbrake.
Whenever you can see or feel grooves in them.
Disks on the front, drums on the rear of my 1996. Disks all around on the 2002.
I was going to replace the rear disks pads and found the disks need machining. To remove the disk you need to remove the large nut. You require a 36mm socket. The socket need to be a long version
No, by the time your breaks are making a bad noise, they will have damaged the disks.
ONLY if you PAID them to replace the brake pads and nothing else caused the quick wear of the pads.
Would have been built with rear disc brakes.
The truck has 4 wheel disc brakes for stopping. There is a small hub on the rear disks for the parking brake shoes to engage. www.trailvoy.com
