Replacing Tahoe passanger mirror
I just replaced the passenger side mirror on my '01 Tahoe. I purchased an aftermarket replacement from a local salvage yard and it was an exact match to the OEM I was replacing. The change is very easy. First, put the window down so you can hold onto the mirrors as you're working with them. Remove the small trim panel and insulating material on the inside of the passenger door behind the mirror. It's attached with three small clips that will pop loose with some gentle prying (I was able to remove mine with my fingers). You should now see the three nuts that secure the mirror. If yours is a power mirror there will also be a wiring harness. Unplug the wiring harness then remove all three nuts being careful not to let them fall down into the door panel. The old mirror should now come off. Line up your new mirror with the bolt holes and work in reverse. Good Luck!
