You have to pull back on belt tensioner. Tensioner is right below the Altenator. You can use a ratchet to pull it back. There is a square hole that it will fit in. Slip the belt off. work your way backwards to put new one back on.
The Chevrolet S10 doesn't have a timing belt.
Loosen the tensioner pulley. The serpentine belt will become loose and can be removed. Put the new serpentine belt on and tighten the tensioner pulley.
The diagram is on the radiator fan shroud.
Find the idler tensioner pulley and retract it. You then will be able to easily remove and replace the belt.

Under the hood of the truck. There will be a sticker with a diagram of your pulley system.Just follow the path the belt takes in the drawing.You will need I believe a 13mm socket for your tension pulley.
