Only your forth speed will work when your blower resistor is gone, this is how you can tell.
Under the glove compartment you will find a plastic cover that's about a foot by 1/2 foot, just pull that off. Then you will be able to see the blower and a plug that has 4 wires comming out of it. Unplug it and take the 2 small hex blots out, then the resistor will slide out easily. Screw the new one in, plug back in, replace the cover and your good to go.
Nick Parker.
Resistor is located behind the blower motor assembly.
The blower motor speed resistor is burned out. You can replace only the resistor but the resistor probably burned out because the blower motor is going bad. If you want to fix it for good, replace both the blower motor and blower motor speed resistor.
Check to see if you are getting power to blower motor - if so replace blower motor If not check fuse, switch, resistor pack.
its behind the blower motor under the passenger side of dash
Blower motor fuse is blown. Blower motor resistor burned out. Blower motor switch bad. Blower motor bad.
the resistor is directly behind the blower motor under the dash
Under the hood to the left of the blower motor mounted in the housing on the firewall...
Check to see if you have 12 volts at the blower motor. If yes then the blower motor is bad. If no, then the resistor, relay, or fuse is bad.
Your wiring is probably messed up, happened to me. Locate the wires from the blower to the controls check them and replace as needed. Assuming no wiring problem check and replace the blower motor resistor.
The blower motor resistor circuit board has gone bad. Replace the blower motor resistor. I did Still dont work Try the fuses...Had the same problem and it was a blown fuse.
To replace a blower motor on the resistor first you take off the nozzle and then you go into the motor through the nozzle and unlock it then repeat and oil and done.
# Locate the blower resistor under the right-side of the instrument panel # Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor # Remove the blower motor resistor mounting screws and remove the resistor from the housing # Installation is the reverse of removal
