I've been told by the Toyota dealer that the rear bumper must be removed to replace a reverse bulb on the 2007 Solara Sport. Is there any other way?
To replace your brake light, you need to unscrew the brake cover from the inside of the trunk. Then you will be able to pull the old bulb out and replace it.
The lamp in the top brake light of a Toyota Highlander can be replaced by the locating the light housing from the trunk. Find the light cover and remove it to access the lights. Replace the bulbs.

The third brake light on a 2007 Toyota Avalon is replaced by first removing the rear, retaining screws. The wiring harness can then be disconnect and the light bulb removed.

Open the trunk. On each side (at the rear) you'll see a flap that can be opened in the trunk liner. Open that flap and (with help from a flashlight) you'll see the light sockets. Twist the appropriate one to the left and pull it out. Replace the bulb with the identical number (listed in your owner's manual). Replace by reversing the procedure. Cheers
The brake light is controlled by a relay switch. If the relay switch is bad the brake lights will stay on. The brake light switch simply plugs in and out. Unplug the brake light switch until you can replace it.

If a brake light stays on it's usually just a sticky or bad switch. The brake light switch is under the dash and is activated by the brake pedal. It could have some grunge on it preventing the switch from closing. Try cleaning the plunger. If that doesn't work (and it probably won't) replacement is very easy. Cheers
Remove the tail light from the outside. Pulls out. Replace bulb. There is no access from the inside of the trunk.
