( No ) the Ford Contour is a front wheel drive vehicle
I was looking at one of Fords websites and it shows : For a 1998 Ford Contour SVT , 2.5 litre V6 engine : ( the Motorcraft FL-820-S engine oil filter is used )
According to the 1998 Ford Contour SVT supplement : The original tires were the ( Goodyear Eagle F1-GS , size P205 / 55 ZR-16 ) on 16 X 6.5 inch wheels
5W30 I own one, and the manual said so.
All contour svt 's were 5 speed manual transmissions. No transmission dipstick.

the rims. 98's had there own style 98.5 and up have different rims There is also a small difference in the front seats. The 98 had less leg room int the rear. The 2000 also boosted the HP a bit but you can't see that. The body remained the same throughout the production.
