Answer for front right turn signal Jetta

Just did it to my 2001 Jetta 1.8T yesterday. Open the hood and look to the right side of the headlight housing. There is a small box that is seperate from the actual headlight housing that is about 2-3 inches wide and about 4-5 inches long. There is a small tab on the top of it that you must depress to remove it. I took me some time to get this done because it was the first time for me and I wasnt sure this was right or not. I actually depressed the tab and used a screwdriver to pry the box open from the side and it popped off finally. Be careful as the tab can snap because it is made of plastic, but I pressed it pretty hard and it did not. Next reach in with fingers and twist the white colored housing counter-clockwise until it snaps out. Pull out the housing and pinch the sides (I had to use a flat head screw driver to get enough leverage on the bulbs plastic base to pry it out) and pull the bulb out. Takes some pressure because they are snapped into place. Put in the new bulb and make sure it snaps in. Now just reverse the procedure and you are good to go! Glad I am able to share this info because I sure needed it when I was figuring it out on my own.
