How do you replace the front turn signal bulb located on a 2000 BMW 323?In: BMW 3-Series

Answer
There is a hole on the edge of your hood that is directly behind the turn signal lamp. When you look directly inside, you'll see a piece of plastic. That's not where you need to go. Instead, go about 1 inch behind that and about 1 to 2 inches deeper. That's what you need to push down with a flathead screwdriver. Push down and forward to nudge the lamp out of its socket.
Hope this helps someone. It took me a LONG time to finally get mine out. I wasn't ready to pay another arm and leg to change something that was supposed to be simple. :) Good luck.

Excellent help provided here - The only thing I would add is that you may want to use an extra long flathead screwdriver. The plastic tab that you need to press down on is pretty deep inside the hole.

I agree this is excellent help. I just wanted to add that this also works for a 1999 BMW 323.
