You unclip the caps about the spark plus and unscrew the covers. Then you remove them and replace them.

These Corolla's have irridium spark plugs designed (they say) for the life of the engine.

First you take off the black plastic cover on top the engine. You'll need a 10mm socket wrench. The plugs are buried deep in the engine. You'll need a special 5/8 inch plug wrench. It has to go 6 inches into the engine as well as the rubber boot inside the plug wrench will grab the loose plug and pull it out. You'll see 4 electrical connections on top of the engine. You'll need to remove the 10mm bolt securing the plastic piece that covers the plugs. Remove the bolt and the electrical connection. You'll need a screwdriver to slightly lift the clip on top of the electrical connection when sliding off the wires. Pull the big plastic piece out of the engine. At this point, use your new 5/8 spark plug tool to remove the plug. Please do yourself a favor and do this one plug at a time. When the new plug is in, replace the plastic boot, electrical connection and put the bolt back in then go to the next plug. Good luck!
