How do you replace the thermostat located on a 1985 Cadillac Fleetwood?

[Edit]

Answer

Start by draing the coolant from the radiator.(There is a drain valve on the bottom.)Follow the upper rad hose from the radiator to the engine, where it meets the engine is a bulb shaped aluminum housing that is held down with two bolts. This is the thermostat housing. Remove the bolts and gently pry the housing away from the engine. You do not need to remove the hose. inside the housing you will find the thermostat. Pull the thermostat out of the engine and drop in the new one. You will also need to replace the gasket between the housing and the engine.(usually comes with the new thermostat) Good Luck!
