There are four types of belts on a 1997 Mazda Millenia S. There are 4 seatbelts, a timing belt, a serpentine or drive belt, and a fan belt. Please refer to your owners manual for instructions on how to replace them. If you do not have an owners manual, you may purchase one through Amazon.com

In order to remove the water pump on a 2000 Mazda Millennia, you must first remove the timing belt and the pulley for the water pump. Remove the pump itself by detaching the four bolts that are securing it. Next, replace any gaskets, install the new pump, then the pulley, and then the timing belt.

take it to a shop its behind the timing belt cover you have to take every thing off the front of the engine including the motor mount!!!

A mazda dealership told me that it didnt have one when i asked to replace it. But i am skeptical
According the manual book ,mazda proteges 2000 has timing belt and should be replace at 105 K miles .Hope would help .
