How do you research World War 2 for a school project? |
[Edit] |
Answer
Well it basically depends what your doing.Im researching right now about the Invasion of Poland for my NCEA Level 1.We have to use at least 5 different resources to find our information. Some good places to get info are encyclopedias, old newspaper archives(they will probably have them in a local library),internet-www.wikipedia.org is a good website, books, diarys and letters of soldiers etc, information files, documentarys, videos. These are the main things. Also you could use maps to show what happened.Maybe if you could tell me what exactly you need to do, i could help you a little more. Thanks!
Answer
All of the above. However, the best and most rewarding source to get information is from the people who were actually there. Take the opportunity to talk to veterans of the conflict while they are still with us - there's nothing like the first hand account of a bombing raid, D Day or naval battle. When I was young and men spoke about the war we used to have to ask if they meant the first or second war. Now all the WW1 veterans are gone. So capture the memories of the WW2 survivors while you can.First answer by Hiccing. Last edit by Hiccing. Contributor trust: 101 [recommend contributor]. Question popularity: 53 [recommend question]
