Forgot Your Windows Password?
A lot of people think that after having lost their Windows admin password, they absolutely have to reinstall their OS. Let me tell you something: They are wrong! Here I'm posting a few methods / utilities which can be used to recover Windows password:
1st Method:
The first thing which you check if you forget login password. When we install Windows, it automatically creates an account "Administrator" and sets its password to blank. So if you have forget your user account password then try this:
Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press <ctrl>+<alt>+<del> keys twice and it'll show Classic Login box. Now type "Administrator" (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows.
Now you can reset your account password from "Control Panel -> User Accounts".
Same thing can be done using Safe Mode. In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.

∙ 9y agoI will use Windows Password Key to unlock it ,because I think it is easy and efficient to use. Here are steps that you can follow:
Step 1: Download and install Windows Password Key in another accessible PC.
Step 2: Run the downloaded file to install Windows Password Key Standard. You can install it on any PC you have access to.
Step 3: Windows Start menu - From your Microsoft Windows Start Programs menu, select Windows Password Key Standard. It will be launched automatically.
Step 4: Using a Windows Password Key boot-able CD/DVD to reset Windows password or using a Windows Password Key boot-able USB Flash Drive to reset windows password.

Try to use the account "Administrator" with no password, if it doesn't work you have to find a special software which is able to reset windows passwords, for instance, NT Cracker and so on. But, be careful. If you have bitLocker driver on any attempt to reset the password will cause deleting all private information on the account which you are resetting.
