I have a 2000 Ranger. I found in my Owners guide........... Find the "CLK" button, hold it down and press "seek" up or down to change the hour. Continue to hold the "CLK" button down and press the "tune" button up or down for the minutes. The radio must be turned off for this procedure.
I have a 2001 with a factory 6-CD changer, and the procedure is a little different from the one above. With ignition on and radio off, to set the clock, you press the "menu" button. The display prompts you to set hours. Do so by using the "select" key. Then it prompts you to set minutes. Do so by using the same "select" key as for hours. Press "menu" again, and the clock is set.
Now, I gotta figure out how to unjam the 6 CD's left in the unit by previous owner...
I have the same 6 CD changer and every now and then I too have CD's stuck in there for days. then magically it starts working again. If a good CD gets stuck for a couple weeks........Bye Bye CD player. I love my music. and no CD player is gonna steal my CD's.

The 1998 Ford Ranger owners manual shows a starter relay in the power distribution box in the engine compartment . It is the # 6 relay . Ford suggests disconnecting your battery before servicing anything in the PD BOX , which means your Ranger will have to relearn its idle , the radio clock and stations will have to be reset etc.
