The first thing you need to have is the vehicles MASTER keypad combination. Once you have this number it is simple to ADD an additional combination of your choise.
The MASTER combination always remains the same; you can only add an additional combination. How do you get the master combination? Good question. My old 87 t-bird had a sticker with the combination stuck on the inside of the trunk lid. Recently I tried to find this sticker on a 02 Crown Vic with no results. Good Luck!

According to what he said you can find the combination sticker inside the trunk lid or the trunk bars, else than that my 1995 Lincoln Town Car had it sticked in the door panel, just take it off and you should see a black box with a sticker on it, the 5 digit number printed there is gonna be the master code. Hope it's helpful for everyone with this problem. And I would like to know how to change the combination. Thanks
How to take the door panel off a 2002 mercury mountaineer?
They are located in the door latch on the door
spray your door latches with wd40.
Yes, the Speaker is in the door.
the four door speakers are 6x8 and the sob if you have one is 8"
I've had that happen in my 2002 mountaineer. what I've found is that if you spray the door latches with wd40 it will clean off the sensors and the door ajar light should go out. but make sure all the doors are shut.
If you do a Google search on Ford Explorer blend door there are lots of articles
go to the dealer with your VIN and proof of ownwership they give it to you...
i think you have to unscrew the whole door.
Starting with the 2002 model , there is no automatic transmission fluid dipstick on the Mercury Mountaineer ( and the Ford Explorer , 4 door )
driver's door, engine compartment
Open the drivers door and there should be an information sticker on the end of the door that shows the original size tires on the vehicle from the factory
