You cannot do it, but there is a magic trick that can make this appear so. Instructions == * A live fly * A styrofoam cup * Cling wrap or aluminum foil # Step 1 Find a live fly. # Step 2 Place the fly in the styrofoam cup. Cover it with cling wrap or aluminum foil so it will not escape. # Step 3 Place the cup with the fly in the refrigerator for about one hour. Flies hybernate in cold conditions. # Step 4 Before you want to show this trick, take the fly out of the refrigerator. Place it on a window sill, a table, or somewhere else a dead fly could be found. Do not leave the fly laying out long. Once it warms up, it will come out of hybernation. # Step 5 Tell the person that you can make a dead fly come back to life. Let them gently touch the fly to prove it is dead. While they are doing this, rub your hands together to warm them up. Act like you are anticipating the magic to begin. # Step 6 Place the fly in the palm of your hand. Slowly roll the fly around a few seconds. Then say, "Alakazam, Alakazoo, come back to life in a moment or two!" # Step 7 In about ten seconds, the fly will start kicking its legs. It will then roll over on its feet. In another few seconds, it will fly away! Source: http://www.ehow.com/how_4560906_dead-fly-come-back-life.html
