Hold the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously for 7 to 10 seconds. The locking mechanism on your car should activate and your remote should be synchronized. Just did this on my 2003 Tahoe.
You definitely do have to resynchronize our keyless entry remote after changing the battery. The car manual clearly states that you need to (although it doesn't say how).
You do not have to reset the keyless remote after battery replacement.
My 1999 has it, so likely yes it was available in 2001
No.
disconnect the negative battery terminal and leave it disconnected for 15 minutes, then reconnect.
Take a small common screw driver and twist it in the seam.
Keyless entry was an option for the 2005 Chevrolet trailblazer model year. Most 2005 Chevrolet trailblazers came with the keyless option.
Yes when I test drove my truck at the used car dealership where i bought it from it had keyless entry but when i went to pick it up the next day the took the remote off. Been trying to get it from them but they said they didn't know anything about it.
If there is a touch pad on the drivers door then it has keyless entry.
how do you change the battery in a 2002 jetta keyless entry pad?
Open the keyless remote and you will see the battery take it out and replace it with the same size.
One reason that your keyless entry may not work is that the battery is dead, take it an auto parts store and have the keyless entry battery replaced. If that does not fix it you will need to take it to the dealer to have the keyless entry reprogrammed.
