Deleting won't make the pictures erased permanently.Those deleted data are still stored in the memory card. it's just invisible or inaccessible. The most effective way is to rely on some data recovery programs.
There are free ones (like Recuva) but be careful of virus and spyware, I had messed up my computer because of freeware many times.And whether it recovers your data intact or not is not guaranteed.So I look for cheap and good one instead.

Which computer doesnt matter, it's the memory stick that's important. When you delete pictures from a memory stick, the data is normally still left on the card, but the area where it was stored is marked as freespace and new files can be written there. So, dont save anymore data to the memory stick as this might well overwrite your deleted pictures.
