You can live-trap them using any number of available humane live trapping devices.( these are one-way traps designed to capture animals without hurting them at all and are activated when the animal enters it and steps on a pressure sensitive plat closing the trap door behind it). For bait they really like apple wedges and some even like oranges. Once you have the woodchuck/ groundhog inside the trap you can then take somewhere remote and release it. Then go back and get the rest of the family.
