What are some good tips on riding?

It depends how large is the pony, ponies are much like horses just smaller. If your to big i wouldn't suggest riding them.

Firstly If you have a pony a saddle and bridle then u can ride but if u havent rode before you wouldn't be too good. I would suggest if you have never ridden a pony before i would addvistse in the paper you want someone to train you in your home or u could just go to a bhs riding school and be showing how to ride

I would highly reccommened to go to a riding school and get a experinced instrocker and ride a few times if you do then u should buy a horse but rember horses are expensive so make sure you have enough money first

You can start riding horses at a horsebackriding camp in the summertime. Or you can look for riding lessons through word of mouth, the internet, the Yellow Pages, A feed store, or at a Horse farm where the public is welcome to visit.

When you are riding, if you get freaked out or nervous then Your horse will get freaked out or nervous. When you are riding don't go crazy or get them spooked or they will boot you off. When riding if they don't stop when you want them to...

You can easily turn them in a full circle to make them slow down. Then pull on the reins again and they will stop or they should.

Okay, I'm not sure what you are really meaning by this. If you are meaning in real life (ie. Not on some game) there are many ways of learning how to ride without actually owning a horse. For starters there are many riding schools and centres which gave lessons and more often then not they own their own horses which students are able to get lessons on. Some trainers, breeders etc. hire people to work for them in exchange for lessons and/or you can exercise their horses, and you may even get to compete for them, if they so desire. There are many ways of practising riding without a horse and even if you have no access to horses that you can ride there are still books and internet sites and things that will explain in general and detail the idea of riding a horse which can prepare you for when you do ride. But then again that's not really the same. Also if you don't have a horse for financial reasons, many people have horses for free lease. Which could be worth looking at. Hope this helps =)
