Chinese people don't really say this directly. Instead you will say goodbye in a number of different ways:
1) zai4 jian4 - again see
2) wei4 tou2 jian4 - see your head later
3) bai4 bai4 - sounds like bye bye
4) ming2 tian1 jian4 - see you in morning
