The problem is that the size of your queen or king sizes are not necessarily the same as in other countries -some sizes are wider, some narrower, but never the same standard. Imagine if I asked you what do you call in English a bed that has exactly 137 cm only because we have a name for it? What if you don't make beds of that width?
cama individual: single bed
cama doble: wider than a single, but not twice as wide. It varies in width, but narrower than queen size.
cama de matrimonio/matrimonial: about queen size, but it can be narrower or wider. It is rarely as much as king size.
For wider ones you ask for a "cama de matrimonio" and simply request the width you desire.
Many people just use the English term, and many countries may have other standards
To say 'I need a bed' in Spanish, you would say 'Necesito una cama.'
cama matrimonial
colchon muelle (perhaps)
Translation: Sabanas tamaño queen
how do you spell soft mattress
'colchon'

Cubrecama
a matress is because a matress is soft and concrete is hard
Its really hard to say which will last longer between a mattress and a matress pad. Since mattresses only have a lifespan of 5 to ten years typically I would say matress pads because they don't wear out like a mattress does.
Id say the closest answer would be a bed matress? Correct me if theres anything closer.
You can buy a Water-Proof matress pad in case of night time accidents. Simply place the cover over the matress, and cover it with a normal bedsheet. When accidents occur, the matress pad can be washed and will protect the matress itself.
