To seed you just keep the torrent file in your application with it still on green (means that you're uploading) - this also means you can't move the file(s) to another part of your hard drive unless you relocate using the application,

If you want to really reassure yourself that you're seeding, open a saved torrent file from your hard drive into your application. When the options come up, uncheck everything so you won't download. Since it won't be downloading, it will immediately go on to seeding.

Average uploaders request a 1:1 upload - say you've just got a 120MB file, you're expected to upload atleast that same amount. Although the recommended would be 2:1, especially if its a relatively new torrent.

to burn the torrent itself to a disk you need to burn it as a data CD. Once you download a torrent / if its an .iso file which lots of game downloads are you burn it to a CD as an .iso file. the program Express Burn supports both these functions.

Is there some kind of app that checks the web for torrents that match the data you have on your PC so you can reseed those torrents?

You would need the original torrent file to reseed a torrent. Old torrent files may still be kept by your torrent client. There is no way to find the torrent file from the directory contents though. If you know which torrents you have downloaded, you can download the torrent files again and reseed that way. Or you can create new torrent files and submit these to torrent site. (note: most torrent sites only accept magnet links these days)

How do you upload files in u torrent?

In uTorrent select File>Create new torrent (Ctrl+N). You will then see the Create new torrent screen. At the top is the "source", that is the file(s) you wish to upload. If it is one file, choose the "file" option. If it is more than one file, it must be in a folder and choose "directory". The next step is adding tracker(s). If this is for a private site, you need to check their rules on uploading for the tracker info. If this is for public sites, then here is a site that lists public trackers that require no registration: http://www.trackon.org/ Web seeds - for most this should be left blank. This is a regular web server hosting the torrent. You can add a comment if you wish. Leave piece size to "auto detect". If the torrent is for a private site, check "private". (This disables DHT & PEX) If the torrent is for a public site, leave private unchecked. Preserve file order - tells µTorrent to create the .torrent file with files and directories sorted by name, in ascending order. By default, µTorrent sorts files in the .torrent file by size, in descending order. (this is up to you). "Start seeding" makes the torrent active immediately. If the torrent is for a private site, you may have to download the torrent from the site and point the save path to your existing data, for the torrent to start seeding. Click "create and save as" to set the location of the torrent file and the name.

What happens if you can torrent matter?

Well a torrent is a file or application broken into thousands of parts and each part comes from a different source, in which the pieces are copied from. In order to torrent matter one would have to create a copy of the matter and yet by using nothing but the other piece of matter. In other words, it is impossible to create something with a specific purpose and containing many different elements in a specific design from thin air.

How do you make a torrent file for BitTorrent?

In BitTorrent select File>Create New Torrent (Ctrl+N). On the Create New Torrent screen, the first thing you do is select the content you want to create a torrent for (share). If the content is a file, select the content using the "Add File" button. If the content is a folder, select the content using the "Add Directory" button. The next step is to add trackers to the torrent. If you are uploading through a private site, check their guidelines as they will give the appropriate tracker address to use. If you are uploading for a public site, then you can use any one of the torrent trackers listed in this post (they do not require registration). http://forum.mininova.org/index.php?s=&showtopic=234988515&view=findpost&p=219768 Web Seeds usually is left blank. You can add a comment if you wish, but it is not necessary. Leave piece size on auto-detect. Under Other on the bottom of the screen are 3 options. The Private option will disable DHT and PEX on the torrent. Use this if you are uploading to a private site, otherwise best to leave unticked. Start seeding should be checked if you want to start seeding right away. Preserve file order has BitTorrent create the torrent with files and directories sorted alphabetically in ascending order (default is descending). I usually check this, but it is optional.
