If you want to sell your turtle all you have to do is take it to a pet store and ask the manager if he/she can find a perfect home for it because you either don't want it anymore, you don't have not enough room, your moving or you just can't take care of it.

It would be illegal to sell your animal on eBay. Someone would report the listing and it would be removed. However, the pet store isn't a good option either. They'll just resell the poor thing to whomever offers the money first. Your best option is to find a turtle rescue in your area. Turtle Homes is a fabulous group and has people all over north america who are available to foster turtles in need. I believe their website is just turtlehomes.org - but a web search would turn them up fairly quickly.
Be careful even before listing your pet in the paper. It is illegal in the U.S.A. to sell a turtle who is under 5 inches, and in Canada, unless it's from a local breeder, it is illegal to sell ANY turtles.
