You can try submitting your idea(s) to an anime studio such as Manglobe or Studio Ghibli et.al. Remember that the anime business is an 'almost closed to outsider' industry - good luck unless you can afford to produce/finance your idea(s) .

To write a TV show proposal you should give the project an interesting title to grab the attention of whoever is going to read it. Include your personal contact information and genre on the front page. Write out the outline of the program. Do not add fluff, stick to the premise of the program. Proof read your work.

Your challenge is to find a production company that focuses on the kind of television series or movie production niches where your script fits.

You could position your script as a pilot or a movie. Here are a few descriptions that you'll need. What is your script's:

  • Budget to produce -- high (millions), low (US$40,000,000), somewhere in between?
  • Genre -- Horror, action, mystery, Science Fiction, documentary, character-driven, period, etc.?
  • Market -- 12-22YO male, female (chick flick), history buffs, DVD, television demographic?

(Movie production companies are more interested in earning millions from a movie than television series producers. Can your script earn millions at the box office?)

(Television production companies are interested in great smaller stories that will engage audiences sufficiently to enable them to 'sit still' through commercial breaks.)

Given these basics, you can then determine which production companies would be interested in your script.

Take your time to research production companies for productions like yours. Research IMDB, link below, Wikipedia for film titles, credit rolls in the film house -- and learn who the groups are that could be interested in your script.

Then pitch it. (Dummies link, below -- no endorsement implied.)

It isn't easy. The first thing I would do is get an agent. They have better contacts in the business.
