The following labels are on the inner ring of the watch; I've given their positions relative to where numbers would be on the face of an analog watch.

"ST/STP" is at 2:00; "EL" is at 4:00; "MODE" is at 8:00; and "ADJ" is at 10:00.

To set the time, date, and day of week:

Press and hold in the "MODE" button until the display starts flashing. (This is the alarm time.)

Press the "MODE" button again; the seconds begin flashing. Press "ADJ" to set them to zero.

Press the ""ST/STP" button to change what you want to set. The options appear in this order each time you press the "ST/STP" button: minutes, hour, month, day, day of week.

Use the "ADJ" button to change the value of the setting.

Touch "MODE" to save the settings and return to time mode.

The website listed below has many instruction sheets, but it may NOT have instructions for this watch.

More AdviceI purchased my Armitron men's digtal watch in 2009. Here's the twist on setting the name of the Day of the Week on my watch.

When you get to the name of the Day of the Week flashing.. you don't get Su...Mo...Tu... You get 01..02..03... up through 99. (You think.. what is this??) DON'T TRY TO SET Sun.. Mon.. etc here.. you won't find it.

The puzzle solver..and it is.. IS TO SET THE LAST TWO DIGITS OF THE YEAR HERE.. Example... it is now 2011.. so scroll through the numbers and set it to "11"!!

Now.. when you go and set the numerical day date e.g. 3 for March, and set the numerical day - e.g. 15, the on-board computer?? in the watch will AUTOMATICALLY SET THE NAME OF THE WEEK!! It will look-up For Example.. in the year 2010.. 3-14 is SUN.. and will set it as that!!

Hope this saves you some frustration.

Where can a person find a good quality Armitron watch?

The best place to buy an Armitron watch is at a male jewelry outlet. For example, Barneys sells expensive watches, as does Amazon. To find the best watch you must go to a jewelry outlet for men.

How good are armitron watches?

If you buy their more expensive products (in other words, those typically found at prices greater than $50.00 list) I'd say they're very good. I bought an Armitron digital/analog watch in the early '90's to serve as a back up watch when the batteries would go out no my Seiko (which cost nearly 5 times as much). The Seiko, which was my daily watch for nearly 20 years finally died, but the Armitron is still running. Granted, it hasn't been subjected to the abuse and day to day use the Seiko did, but the fact that it's kept running, needing only battery replacements and no servicing says something. The watch also keeps very accurate time, losing about 5 seconds/month. This back up Armitron that I bought originally listed for $59.95, but it was a close out when I bought it and got it for $39.95. I had another Armitron prior to the Seiko and the later "back up" Armitron, and it was great as well .... until it fell into the Atlantic Ocean (hardly Armitron's fault!!). I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of their better quality pieces at all.

Where ar armitron watches made and why does the band and backs of it say china on it?

Well they always say "America's Watch" so I would think America BUT if it says China then it was probably made in China for Armitron, which most people wear in America.

Why does my armitron watch say china on it and how do they make it?

China is where the watch is assembled. The movement might come from one place, the strap from another, but it's all brought to China for assembly.
