There are lots of things that can cause a dog to do his business in the house:

1. You are gone all day

2. He is sick

3. He is not trained enough

4. He is too old and he may have bladder problems

If you are gone all day, he is probobly sad and missed you (especially if he is very attached to you!). One way to solve this is to spend more time with him; take him to a dog park, the beach, or maybe organize a Bring-Your-Pet-To-Work Day. You don't have to do anything encredibly spontanious, just be with your dog.

If he is sick, you could probobly tell (pouting around, red-ish urine, not eating, hiding under furniture, growling, whimpering, etc...). If it is something simple, like a cut or a scrape (although I'm not sure how that would qualify as sickness...), that is probobly not what is causing his disobedience. Your dog may have a virus (urinary tract infection or something like that...). If that is the case, you may want to take him to the vet.

If he is not trained, well, its obvious why he's doing that . There are many methods to stop this. A very affective method is kennel-training. All you have to do is put the dog is a place were there is only room to walk around a little bit and lay down (people usually use a fenced-off part of their yard or a plastic kennel, like the kind that is used for traveling). Put the dog in inside of his "space" and leave him in there while you are at work, or whenever he would do his business inside. Because dogs will not urinate or, um, poo where they sleep, it is IMPARATIVE that there is only enough roomfor him to lay down or walk around slightly. Another way to train him is when you find a poo or wet spot, grab the dog by his scruff (the part on the back of his neck that is loose) and put his nose near the accident and say (or yell) very loudy and firmly "No. Bad dog. No. Bad." Or anything that would let him know that what he did was very wrong and will not be accepted in your household. Then lead him outside or somewhere where he can "think about what he did" and leave him be for a while. (Just a tip: the "nose rubbing" trick will NOT work on cats.)

If he is too old, then take him to the vet. They may prescribe pills for him to take, or recommend that he wear dog diapers.

I hope that this helps!

It is impossible. The sad truth is that many behaviours that we want to stop in our dogs is just their natural instinct. Many behaviours can be managed, if your pet is marking inside the house it could be a number of reasons why, he doesn't feel secure, or prehaps there have been pervious dogs in his area. I suggest deep cleaning anything that your dog insists on marking as his. If the problem is yellowing grass, then encourage your dog to venture so he doesn't keep urinating in the same area (or take him for a walk.) Other than that, everything a dog decides is his, he will pee on, of course this answer is vague and really depends on the breed of the dog. The dogs breed with give you a great insight into his or her behaviourial patterns.

Every hour take them out to one spot and record what they do. Then, after a couple of days start to take them out every 2 hours etc. They will start to remember the spot.

Train it to go outside or where you want it to go for a poop like take my advise or buy a book.

My advise is a dog mat and the smell of it makes it move to the mat for a poop.

To prevent your dog from spraying, make sure he or she goes out at an appropriate hour. You can also place them in the backyard to prevent them from spraying on your furniture or valuables.

Why are Citronella dog collars popular?

Citronella dog collars are popular, even in spite of their high price, because they can train your dog to stop nuisance barking. The collar achieves this by spraying the dog with a harmless liquid when ever it barks (negative reinforcement).
