How do you stop a tantrum?

Answer:
Tell him or her if you dont stop in 3 seconds no candy for you. It really does work

Yes bribing works and it also teach the child that if I throw a tantrum I get candy. To get rid of the behavior completely the Timeout system works. It takes a long time and you just show them you ignore it as long as they act like that. Carry the child, if you have to, to a calm spot with no tiys or distraction, and tell them that because of their behavior they will stay there for lets say 3 minutes, then leave. They will come back to you but then you keep quiet and just carry them back and once again tell them that now your minutes have started again and that the timer will start over every time they go back to you and don't stop. When the time has passed and they have calmed down they you hug and everything is back to normal. You will most likely have to go back many times but in time it works and all you have to say is that he gets a warning and then it's Timeout. This works on pretty much all ages btw. I heard someone say 2yo when tantrums often start is too young but it works then too.
