How do you stop loving someone that loves someone else?

If you would really love someone, then that would have been unconditional- wanting the best for both of you. The other person did what was best for him/her so thats taken care of. You atleast do what is best for you. You live life in the present moment and really show love to them who needs it, and believe it or not - such action is a lot more satisfying than brooding over what you cant have. I agree that it is crucial, but i do not agree that it is not possible. I presently fall in this category. Someone as i type, loves me and i do not love the person one bit. It hurts to say this because anytime i see her or hear her talk, i feel her pain.

Things to do...

1. You have to get the thought of that person out of your mind. This can be done by getting busy with something else. Make sure you're not left all by yourself with your thoughts.
2. Always think of the mistakes of the person, this will help you build up a negative perception of that person.
3. Stay emotional balanced by attending social gatherings (not clubs, or any where where lovers are).
4. Attend sporting exercises that are a bit physical like lawn tennis, swimming, football etc. This will help shake your thoughts out and bring you out of yourself.
5. Read The Bible and get to know Jesus. (This actually works magically).

I beg to say that you guys are not very practical in this issue. before you answer such questions, please think about what you are about saying because people will live by the words on this page.

Real love cannot be turned on and off like a light switch. If you really love someone that love doesn't just go away. Depending on your age, the circumstances involved, etc., the love may or may not fade over time or you will learn to live with it as miserable as this situation can be. I don't think real love is conditional upon whether that person loves us back or not, even though that is what we want.

You always love someone you loved or you would never have loved them in the first place. The only thing you have to do is open your heart again to someone else to love, it is much better to show reciprocation with someone.
