If your hamster is fourteen months or over it is normal for it to lose fur, mine is the same. But if it is younger it might need extra fruit and vegetables. Try lettuce, broccoli, apple and carrots. I hope this helped.

∙ 12y agoI have 2 Russian dwarf hamsters, they don't shed too often. If your dwarf hamsters are shedding there are a few things you can do to reduce the amount of hair shedding. Try buying a hamster brush from a petstore such as Petsmart to "groom" them and make their hair more healthy which would probably reduce hair shedding. Make sure you ask a professional first if it's ok for them. If they are shedding extremely much, bring them to a vet. If it's not to bad, don't worry about it because it's perfectly natural. ∙ 13y agoHamsters shed a little, and there is normally nothing we can to do stop it. If the shedding is exceeding amount, then regular bathing and grooming is required. Bathing should be patting them with a damp cloth.
If your hamster pulls out his/her own fur, then call your vet immediately. This could be a sign of stress, overheating, or illness.
If you hamster is shedding large amounts, then call your vet.
