Line up the two arrows on the bottom, remove any excess string, cut two pieces of string about 10 feet, feed line in the side holes, secure line in hole where it comes out the bottom (it only takes about 1/4in. to do so), pull strings tight, then turn counter clockwise. sometimes it sticks a little just pull line a little. (you do not have to take anything apart) Hope this helps. Good luck! To remove the inner spool to remove line that has broken inside, to clean the mechanism, or to perform other maintenance, grasp the outer reel and unscrew the bump knob counter-clockwise. Mine is often very tight and requires pliers to get enough leverage. While you are in there, clean the inner reel and the inside of the outer reel to improve feed performance. The shaft rarely needs cleaning. Do not lubricate. After re-installing the reel, add string (0.080") as described above.
Although it is called dual line, only one line is used - except that you use both ends of the line. Cut off as much line as you think the spool will hold. Put the two ends together to find the center of the line. Some trimmers have holes to thread the lines through and others have a place to hook the bend at the middle of the line. if yours has threading holes, thread one end of the line through each hole and then pull on both ends until the bend of the center of the line won't allow any more slack. If your trimmer has the place to hook the bend, hook there and start winding the lines in the direction shown on the spool. Be sure one line is on one half of the spool and the other line on the other half. Wind both lines at the same time as smoothly as you can. When the spool is full, insert the loose ends through the trimmer head, insert the spool and pull on the strings.
Usually, when you buy a brush blade the attachments come with it, however not all string cutters have enough power to pull the brush cutter blade. Please be careful if you try one they are very dangerous.

20w/50 is what comes with the 4-cycle string trimmer. While Home Depot is the sole distributor of Ryobi tools, they do not have the oil in Montgomery, AL
I have a couple of links for you. The first is a manual that should do though it is not exact. Check pages starting with 19. The second is the parts breakdown.

the ryobi owners manual calls for a .095
I just looked that up for mine. I found this chart: http://www.psep.biz/store/ryobi_trimmer_spark_plugs.htm it depends on which trimmer you have
.025 inch per the manual.
Yes, unless you have an older Homelite from the late 90's, all of the expand-it attachments are universal, which, in my opinion, makes the expand-it a very attractive option. The attachments fit Toro, Ryobi, Poulon, Homelite, Troy-Bilt, Huskqvarna, etc.
