to sync a ipod nano you go to the apple store and then go to the name of your ipod then click sync
Connect the device to your computer, go to Windows Media Player or iTunes and go to the 'sync' list. Drag music from your library into the sync list.
Windows media player will put whatever songs you have in your sync list on to you mp3/iPod.
In the Window Media Player there will be a tab saying Sync. It's beside a tab called Burn. Then this Sync bar will open p and you add songs to it. Then connect your ipod to the computer and as soon as you have created your list, it will sync automatically.
If not an iOS device, you must sync with computer, then sync with other iPod.

you can use windows media player for an ipod. you have to use itunes or something that supports ipods.
With an iPod you can download iTunes from www.apple.com and upload songs to that program. From there you simply plug your iPod in, and it will sync.
When you plug your iPod into your computer, there is a sync option with iTunes. How it works is it puts everything on your iTunes into your iPod.
