To take take salt out of salt water you have to boil it, then refrigerate it till its the right temperature to drink.

use a very very fine sieve I'm not exactly sure how it happens but, I know it has to go through a process called desalation.
It can be filtered out or removed by evaporation/ destillation.
Since the boiling for salt is significantly higher than that of water, the water boils away leaving a salty residue at the base of the container used to boil saltwater.
