How do you tell a guy you aren't interested romantically when he asks u out for dinner which is more of a pseudo date without sounding presumptuous?

In: Dating

Answer

"It's very sweet of you to ask. I'm not looking for a relationship or any kind of involvement with any guys right now, so I'll pass." If he persists, just say "No, thank you."

Answer

Well, the old and true, honesty is the best policy. Depending on how long you know him and your comfort level. You need to find the right words for this guy and it wont sound presumptuous. Dont babble on about what you would like in a guy, that will make him feel less then. I would first consider if you should even go out with him on a "pseudo" date, that may lead him to believe that you have some type of feeling for him. The best bet is to suggest that you make it a group dinner and if he doesnt like that then let him know your not interested in a relationship right now.
