How do you know when your hamburger meat is rotten?

• It smells unusual
• It is not all the same colour
• There could still be some hard bits of meat where the burger has not defrosted
• There could be mould beginning to grow
• It may taste odd.

You can look at the colour of the meat as it changes and the smell of it comes worse. You can look for mould parts in it then you know you can't use it anymore. But never eat it because it can be dangerous and cause food poisoning.

It starts to get a slimy feel and the odor turns acidic or a bit pungent. The color also becomes gray.
