How do you tell your parents that you're pregnant at 15 with a guy you barely know. My best friend said he will help me and we will find a way but I don't know if I can do this?

First of all, you can do this and you will. I know it seems like a terribly difficult situation, with no easy answers, but understand that many, many young girls face the identical situation every year and manage to get through it, so hang in there and start working on the problem. The first thing is to sit down with your folks and talk to them. You should understand that they love you and have put a great of time and energy towards raising you and they certainly aren't going to desert you now that you really need them. If you find that your parents are not going to be helpful, find a counselor, health care professional (doctor, nurse, etc.) or adult friend who you can talk to. There are a lot of options open to you and you need to very carefully consider all possible alternatives and how they will affect your life. Remember, you're young and you have your whole life ahead of you. You need to make the decision that you, not anyone else, feel is best. Good luck Be honest. Yes they might be upset but they love you and nothing heals a heart like a grandchild can. Don't give up hope. I'm 23 and when my son was born it was the happiest day of my life even though his mom and I aren't together. So just be honest and blunt tell them you made some wrong decisions and I guarantee in the long run they will love you and your child so much. Abortion isn't the answer hon. I know you are scared out of your wits, but the above posters are correct in saying that you should be honest with your parents because they love you. Your parents are well aware that any children they have has a risk of getting pregnant or a son that can get a girl prenant, but they like to think it will never happen to them. Get your male friend to sit with you while you talk to your parents. Make it plain that he is not the father, but there as support. Your parents are certainly going to be shocked but when the shock is over they will still love you with all their heart and they will help you through this. Abortion often feels like a good way out, but it can be very risky to you if not done in a proper clinic, and I give you a medal for standing by your belief system and know it's wrong. That in itself shows the strength you have. You can do it hon! There are worst things in this world than a young teen girl being pregnant. Your parents will realize this after the shock wears off.
