To be fair, it basically makes your life. If you have a high self esteem you are more likely to socialise and be more outgoing however too high and you come across as cocky. If you have a low self esteem you can either befriend fellow low self esteemers or you can become a 'social outcast'. It also affects you academic performance, you are more likely to do well if you have a high self esteem. This is the same for sporting acheivements. These can result in higher or lower self esteems as well. Its a vicous cycle.
