yes it is a phone after all
3GS, But all iPhones are roughly the same
The iPhone 4S is the most favorable of all three.
all the features that are mentioned is available with the iPhone 3gs
yes, but not all iphone 4 apps are available on the iphone 3gs/3g/2g becuase they are too high resolution apps, or need a front facing camera.
IF you have a computer and have installed itunes on it (no duh you wouldn't have apps with out i tunes:P) all your apps, videos and songs SHOULD be saved on i tunes so just sync the iphone 4 2 itunes and there you have it. :)
It all depends on what you want and expect your phone to do.
Yes.
probably the 3gs to the 4, because the ace specs are similar to the 3gs but towards the iPhone 4. like all iPhone's , samsung galaxy's are now totally similar with everything!!
yes infact the iphone 3gs does have AIM (aol instant messenger) it works very good and to donwload it all you have to do is go to apps on the phone and type in AIM but usually it will cost no money and sometimes it will but it does tell you. to get an iphone 3gs log onto att.com and type in iphone 3gs in the search bar. and you can chose between 8gb 16 gb and 32gb.
It is highly unlikely that you will be able to recover any data that was on your iPhone 3GS pre-restoration. Just to be clear I am not talking about the data you are recovering TO the iPhone, only the personal data blocks that are wiped over during a fresh recovery. If you are using firmware 3.1.2 or later and you restore your iPhone 3GS from a new iTunes installation the hardware encryption key is replaced making all your old personal data scrambled and unrecoverable unless you have another backup. That is for sure. Previous versions of the iPhone that do not have a hardware encryption key (3G, 2G, 1G) contain tid bits of recoverable personal information even after a new basic recovery. You would need to go through a long process of resetting all data to wipe those phones clean. Search the internet to find help to recover your personal data on those phones. Good Luck! Sorry about your loss.
Yes, they should be able to. The iPhone is backward compatible. Yes, they can. I used to have an iPhone 3GS and all the games work on my iPhone 4.
