LimeWire was shut down because the US Courts found it to violate copyright law.
You aren't supposed to be able to transfer from your iPod to iTunes. Apple thinks this will cause illegal music sharing.

My best answer is to turn it into a mp3 file from iTunes LimeWire, then save it onto your computer. Then plug in your iPod shuffle on the computer, and import the saved music from your computer to the iPod.
you have to have both itunes and limewire. you download the music on limewire and press launch at the bottom f the screen and it goes to itunes the put it on your ipod.
itunes, limewire etc.
drag the songs from Limewire directly into your iTunes "playlists" (drag & drop).
You just have to point Limewire to the folder in which you are currently storing your music through the Limewire preferences.
You should click and drag your songs into the itunes window and they should be there and able to put on ipod. don't use limewire its illegal.
