Here are 6 easy steps to transfer songs from iTunes to an iPod:

  1. Assuming you already bought the song, plug in your iPod with your iPod-to-USB connector cable.
  2. Wait for the iPod menu to show up in the gray navigation bar to the left of your screen in iTunes.
  3. Go to Music.
  4. Select the song(s) that you want to transfer*.
  5. Click and drag the song(s) that are highlighted onto the iPod menu in the gray navigation bar.
