Export the contacts to your sd card, connect the eris to the computer with the usb cord, set the phone to usb mass storage mode by pulling down the notification bar, choosing the notification, theb choosing mass storage, transfer the csv file to your computer hard drive, then you can upload it to any email account that syncs contacts to the iphone. Maybe you can import it right to iTunes to sync with the phone, i'm not sure.
You can download a tool to transfer the conatacts directly from your HTC to iPhone, such as Gihosoft Mobile Transfer, it's an awesome tool. I have used this tool before, it's simple to operate and transfer contacts so efficiently. You can check it out on their official website. Hope it can help you.
