To treat a sick house plant . cut off all the white stuff to make new growth. If this does not work your plant is dead.
The Sundew - is a carnivorous plant. It feeds on insects by trapping them using sticky drops of fluid on its leaves.
cold or overwatering
wash all the leaves with a mild soap and some alchohol, repeat after a week and as nessecery
not quiet sure what you mean by sticky substance? if it is resin from the plant - slightly yellow in colour, translucent, sticky?? if so then it could be a fungal infection in the plant; many plants produce resin to try and combat the spread of fungal infections
The plant will die as little to no photosynthesis will take place, thus no food and no energy will be produced. The scene of photosynthesis is mostly on the leaves.
The Sundew plant is carnivorous. It feeds on insects. The sticky glands secrete sweet-smelling fluid, that traps any insect that lands on the leaf. The leaf then folds over, engulfing the 'prey' - which is then digested.

As long as the dust isn't sticky, I would recommend the canned air that you would use to clean your computer. If it has been awhile since you've dusted and the dust is sticky, you will have to do it the old fashioned way--with a wet cloth. After that, just blast them with the canned air.
