For fuel injected models, there are "fuel block" feeder lines that supply fuel to your injectors. On the passenger side of the motor, find the fuel block feeder line, located above your injectors. There you should find a pressure release valve, that looks similar to a air nipple used to air up car tires.... take a small screw driver, or a pen and push in on the valve. There should be a lot of fuel pressure if the pump is working. If there is no fuel pressure, then you either have a bad pump, or a dirty fuel filter. If there is now, or very little pressure, I would first replace the fuel filter. If you still have no fuel pressure after replacing the filter, then it's time to replace the fuel pump.

To get you out of a jamb, if you crawl under your truck and thumb your gas tank with a piece of wood, or a hammer.... you can often get a tired old fuel pump to kick on...
