It can be more efficient to slightly modify a diesel engine to efficiently combust filtered Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) or Straight Vegetable Oil (SVO). Some designs can integrate the de-esterification process or skip it.

a diesel engine was designed to run on peanut oil in the first place, i have run several thousand miles on wvo , no mods to the engine , just get a good kit that will pre heat it
