Call your natural gas provider and have them come out and do it for you.

- -Save yourself a 'callout fee'. - I have to do this often in houses I am working on. The incoming gas goes through a valve on your property near the meter. It has a flat 'l' shaped handle on it. When the handle is in line with the pipe it's 'on', and when turned crosswise to the pipe it's off. - - (This is NOT rocket science or anything to scare the average human who can perform simple mechanical tasks !. )
There should be a knob behind the stove on the gas line to shut it off... If you can, pull out the stove and tighten the knob until snug (don't overtighten). Once this is done, you can then disconnect the gas line or whatever else you need to do.
On some older stoves, there will be no gas shut-off valve at all. If this is the case, you will have to shut it off at the meter itself. (You will probably need a large crescent wrench to do this.) However, some meters have a lock-out system, so in some cases you will have to call the gas company to come turn it back on. Make sure you have enough time to do so before shutting it off in the first place.
Whatever the case, don't do anything until the gas IS shut off. This could obviously lead to some problems.
If city gas, there will be a valve on the meter. Turn it so the lock holes match.
If propane, there is a valve at the tank.
Usually a control valve to the side of the fireplace. Check side when gas pipe enters.

The Gas Stove uses a spark to start a flame, and that's what cooks the food.
A gas stove uses natural gas or propane.
A gas stove does not use any electricity.
First turn off the gas. Then check the valves that the gas travels through to see what is clogging or blocking it and remove whatever it is. Don't forget to turn off the gas

It depends 0n the circumstances. A kitchen stove that can be disconnected easily and moved would be considered personal property. However, a permanently built in kitchen stove or a permanently installed wood stove would be considered part of the real property. You should check before you remove it.
It is not possible for a personm to use the LP gas orificesfrom a Hotpoint stove to convert a Frigidaire stove. Gas lines should only be connected or converted by a professional.
