I just had this happen and got the alarm to stop by putting the key in the drivers door and the ignition- I don't remember which one made it stop.
You would disconnect the battery terminals.
To turn off the alarm, you insert the the key in the drivers door lock and turn the key to the right two times.
How do you turn the alarm off inside the car without a remote for 2001 Nissan maxima
my alarm remote does not honk wen locked
Turn the key at the door towards the front of the car
Yes, you can have a car alarm without remote keyless entry. You can read more at www.ecarsecurity.com or www.autotechs.com
go to Nissan dealer and buy new remote and have programmed
you can go to best buy
From my experience ... if you insert the key and turn it to the far right to the position (just short of actually starting the car) you are then able to disconnect the battery and replace it without the alarm setting off.
I had the same problem with my 2000 xterra and it turned out to be low battery voltage. Check your battery this is most likely your culprit. Mudlvr
An alarm remote is a remote control for an alarm system. A remote alarm is an alarm that rings somewhere far away from whatever set off the alarm.
You dont have to reset it. Just use the remote to turn it off. That is if u used the remote to set it. If u just locked it manually u can put the door key in the deiver side door turn it twice to open all locks
