You want to blow up the engine? It is there for a reason. Go to a speed shop and see if you can get a replacement chip like they have for Mustangs.
I my experiece (not that I would know *caugh*) you can get past the speed limiter eventually, you just need a longer stretch of road and a steady foot ;)

You have a 1999 Ford Ranger 3.0.
No I do not see a picture

How do you remove the flywheel on a 1999 ford ranger
rear axle housing
Motorcraft MERCON ATF ( automatic transmission fluid ) is used in the 5 speed manual transmission of a 1999 Ford Ranger , according to the owners manual
The standard ford focus has a limiter at 110 mph. The zx4 st model has a claimed limiter of 120mph but speeds up to 125 have been acheived with the limiter in place
is there a recall on the timing belt on a 1999 ford ranger?
I am not exactly sure, but I heard some new model cars hide the speed limiter behind the radio. And you can remove it by unplugging some wires, just make sure you do it right or you will mess up your whole wire system on your truck.
