If you have jailbroken your iPod for any reason, and having problems and/or have to take it to the Genius bar, you will have to UN-Jailbreak it otherwise the staff will not fix the issues, since jailbreaking your iDevice voids its warranty.
Part 1 - Back up:
(This part of the process can be skipped if you do not want to keep your old content, but it is recommended, in case if anything goes wrong.)
Part 2 - Unjailbreak by Restore:
This part is required to unjailbreak your iPod. Do not skip it.
To unjailbreak, you will have to restore your iPod.
Please note that this will completely erase your iPod
If this fails, follow these instructions.
You will have to put your iPod into Restore mode.
Part 3 - Restore content :
(You do not need to do this step if you skipped step 1)
After the restore process is complete, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear. It will ask you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences, as it did when you connected your iPod for the first time.
If you do not want to put your old content onto your iPod, set it up as a new iPod.
If you do want your old content, select Restore from iTunes backup when asked.
Congratulations! You have successfully unjailbroken your iPod.
If you ran into problems, please consult instructions online.
To 'unjailbreak' an iPod Touch, you have to do a system restore, which is available in the iPod Touch home menu in iTunes. This will erase all content that is on the iPod Touch, including bookmarks in Safari and contacts in the Contacts.
Yes iTunes>(iPod Touch Name)>Restore
plug it into itunes and hit restore
Connect to iTunes and press restore. If it is bricked just search youtube for how to un-brick an ipod touch.
You hit the reset button.
Yes I recently jailbroke my iPod 2nd gen and all the apps I got off iTunes or the AppStore didn't get deleted
you won't get any more free apps and the things you used to have when you jailbroke it. You will also improve the speed your ipod works at and hopefully, the battery percentage will incease.
Yes, updating the software of an iPod undoes the Jailbreak.
All you have to do is just hit the reset button.
Yes and no. If you sync it your iPod will remain jailbroken. If you update it to say 4.1 it will un-jailbreak your iPod. Then you will need to re-jailbreak it.
Un-jailbreaking your iPod Touch means that iTunes must recognize your iPod. Without the recognition, you cannot Restore the iPod (Restoring it 'un-jailbreaks' it). Your warranty is void since you made an unauthorized modification to the iPod (jailbreaking it voids the warranty). The best you can do to 'un-jailbreak' it is to take it to an Apple Genius to have it restored from there.
no your ipod touch can not break if you use a good jail breaker such as Blackra1n or pwnage those are the 2 most reliable and don't break...... :) for any reason that you want to unjailbreak it then go to itunes and update it, it kills the jail break ( can be put back on later) but does not affect the apps !!!! happy on relying to this source plz reply !!!!
