----- 1/15/09 ----- Greetings, the radio communicates with the vehicle's computer & "knows" when it has been swapped to a different VIN/vehicle. To unlock the radio, you will need the anti-theft code. The dealer can do it for you for a small charge. Usually you will need the VIN# of the original truck the radio came from, and take it to them installed in the new vehicle. Also, if you use a search engine on the internet, there are several companies that will email you the code after pressing the radio buttons in a certain sequence and sending $10-$20 to them. Keep this new code in a safe place. If your radio gets unplugged, the battery goes dead or gets disconnected, you will have to put in the code again.
