How do you beat a boss in rune factory 3?

You must beat the third boss in Oddward Valley.

Then get the third memory orb, which is in the area right behind the place where you fought the third boss.

After that all you have to do is go to Vale River. You will need a Lillypad Magic Seed or Water Shoes to get across the river.

When you get to the boss area make sure you are not doing a Request. If you are you can not fight a boss. So every time you enter you will just get pushed back out.

You can not get to the bosses until you are playing the Second Generation. The Second Generation is when you are playing as the main character's child.

Once you are in the Second Generation you can get through the fences and past the stone statues blocking pathways.

You have to get the statues to look at each other after listening to the villagers talk about some raccoon.

The statues in Privera Forest have to look across the water at each other. Once they do, the door will open. Go downstairs. I think you have to talk to either Wells or Gaius (talk to both just in case) and then go to Daria to construct her rainbow bridge.

Once the bridge has been made, keep going right until you go up some stairs and meet a raccoon.

If You Want To Destroy The Raccoon In Privera, You First Want Level Up To 12. Proceed Across the forest Until You Find A Frog Statue And A King Statue. Make Them Both Face South If You Chose The Northern Crossroad. If You Went Through The Southern Crossroad, Turn Them North. You Want To Make The Statues Face Each other. ( To Make them Do So, Tap Them And Choose 'Turn it! ) The Door Should Open After Doing So. The Bridges Will Be Broken, So Talk To Daria. She Will Fix It.. A Unique Way. Now Proceed Up The Stairs. ( In The New Area, You Might Want To Look South Of You And Find A Useful Thing ) After 3 Steps Ahead, A Raccoon Will Appear. Just Keep Attacking As Much As You Can Before It Becomes Giant. Then Try To Avoid Its Attacks, And He may Give You Opportunities To Attack. ( Sometimes, Randomly He Might Switch Back To Normal Size ) He Will Become Darker, Which Means He Has Gone Bezerk After A Certain Amount Of Times You Attack. We Will Attack Harder, So Avoid Him Until He Gives You Time To Strike. He Might Even Split Into Four. 1 Real, 3 Fake. The One With The Darkest Shadow Is Your Monster. After He Falls And Disappears, The Next Area Will Be Accessible. Touch The Orb And You Remember You Are Half Human Half Monster!

If You Want To Defeat The 2nd Boss, Return Home After Defeating The 1st Boss. ( Raccoon ) An Unfamiliar Man Will Notice You, Then Run. Run After Him. He Will Run Towards Sol Terrano Desert. Follow. He Will Leave Footprints In The Sand For You To Track It Will Lead To This Area With A Horned girl. ( If You Were Human This Whole Time, She Will Kick You Out, But If You Were A Monster, She Would Welcome You ) Talk To Her After introducing herself ( Kuruna ) She Will Tell You She Hates The Hornless ( AKA Humans ). Talk To Wells As Human. After The Scene, ( The Sharance tree Grew ) Talk To Kuruna Again ( Monster ). She Will Ask You To Run An Errand With Zaid. ( His Tent Is The Right One, Hes Also The Unfamilliar Dude ) Go Southeast Of The Desert Until There Is nowhere Else to Go. Defeat All The Monsters here And Get The Dragon Bone. Give It To Kuruna. Then Go Southwest To face Harder Monsters And get The cactus Flower. There Will Be Rumbling If You Walk Back. Head back To The Settlement As Quick As You Can. A Monster Is breaking The gates, So Your Character Walks Forward To face it. A Skelefang Is in The Scene. Yes. You must fight That. You Must try To Knock Off All It's Bones And Once Done, Attack It's Core As Much As You Can before A Blue Barrier Starts To Form. Now, RUN! It Will Sent A Beam Chasing You, But Only For A Distance. This Thing Is Deadly If Your Not Careful. Once It Goes Bezerk, Instead Of The Bones Disappearing, They Will Remain There Until All Of The Bones Are Partly Faded. Then They Should Knock Off. Defeat The Core. Go Back Into The Settlement To Be Thanked. Then give Kuruna The Cactus Flower. Then She Will Open The gate To The Desert Pedestal To Find Another Orb.

It's Actually Simple: Make Sure That you Are On NO, And I repeat, NO Requests From The Owl, Mailbox or B.B.

Requirements:

Monster Transformation Abillity

AT LEAST Level 25

Defeated Giant Raccoon

(optional) A Strong Fire Element Pet monster

(optional) Light/Fire/Love Elemental Swords

After you defeat the first boss, the Giant Raccoon in Privera Forest, head back to your house, and you will see a strange boy on your way. He will notice you and run for Sol Terrano Desert, The second dungeon. Ether skip to the next day (sleeping), if you are low on HP and RP, or just continue and follow. Once you enter, Wells will meet you there, and soon after letting you get it, he goes away (finally).

You will notice some footprints in the sand. follow them as a monster. You will find that the tracks lead to a lost settlement, and Kuruna, leader of the settlement, also one of the last remainders on her horned tribe, Univer.

She welcomes you as a monster, but as human she kicks you out, so be a monster when you go to the Univer settlement, for now.

After her welcome, meet the other two lost settlers, Zaid, a dwarf, and Ondorus, another Univer. With no requests on hand, talk to Kuruna again. She asks for you and Zaid to go on a mission on the yellow-sand path to find the wonderful dragon bones, southeast of the Tribe. If i were you, i'd avoid fighting the monsters until you reach your Dragon Bones. Defeat the monsters here and go near the skull of the dragon, and take the bones. One step closer to Finding the Second Boss!

Now, head safely to the Tribe and give the bones to Kuruna. She takes them and asks you again to go out and find something known as the Cactus Flower. Once again, take Zaid and instead, head southwest of the Settlement. The monsters are quite stronger here, and i would use Invinciroid.

Now, once you reach the end of the paths, you will see a cactus and a yellow flower growing on top. Defeat the monsters here, (portals first, its much easier) and get the flower. You will point out that giant tracks are near you, and Zaid will just ignore it. head back for the Tribe once again, but on your way A faint roaring will sound, coming north of the Tribe. Hurry back and a scene will occur. The gate that has blocked the North from the Tribe Is 'crumbling' and Ondorus and Kuruna are there. Ondorus claims the gate cannot hold much longer, and Kuruna almost goes to face the trouble herself, but you offer to go instead. Kuruna finally decides you can go and face this enemy, and go through.

Here is your Second boss.

SKELEFANG

HP: 4500

WEAKNESS: FIRE, LIGHT, LOVE

RESIST: DARK, EARTH, WATER, WIND

EQUIPMENT: ANY WEAPON, ANY ACCESSORY

This boss can dish out some really serious attacks if you're not careful. The boss have two forms, one is in his skeleton form and the other form is his orb form. The skeleton form is taken down when you inflict enough hits. The bones will fall off and you can attack the core. Attacking the core is the only way to deal damage to this boss. After a few seconds the core will start to charge up for a lighting attack that you could avoid by running away from him as far as possible. Then the bones will regenerate. Repeating the pattern from the beginning until it is defeated. Once it dies, head back to the little remote settlement and everyone will congratulate you, and then Ondorus and Kuruna realize it was a legendary Skelefang, and the Cactus Flower that you picked drew it to attack. You may notice that you did not get the Summer Orb, so talk to Kuruna again.

After you give Kuruna the Cactus Flower, she will tell you before the beast attacked, they had discovered a Strange Orbin a little shrine. Target set!

Your Character asks to look at this orb, and Kuruna removes the gate to the shrine. Now You can claim You Summer Orb!
